A growing body of evidence points to the health risks posed by plastic additives. These include endocrine disrupting chemicals, which are linked to infertility, obesity, diabetes, prostate or breast cancer, among others. The toxins in plastic and the microplastics released are especially elevated with heat and liquids. So we want to try and remove as much plastic from our food and drink as we can. Here is a list of products I personally use, or would use.

A lot of coffee makers include plastic parts that touch the hot water/coffee. Pour-Over coffee is the best way to eliminate this exposure. Simply pour your hot water in the top. It also has a stainless steel reusable filter. This version has a spout to make pouring your coffee even easier as you do not need to remove the filter.

A thin metal spatula is key to my cast iron cooking. It can get under a fried egg keeping it intact, etc. Metal spatulas are a necessity for successfully cooking with cast iron, in my opinion.

I don't use plastic utensils so that pretty much leaves metal and wood. Teak is a great wood option, because it holds up so well. I love this set for cooking and serving

Stainless steel baking sheets - cookie pans and cooling racks. We're removing aluminum from our food sources and these stainless steel pans are a great option!
