Toothpaste, without fluoride. We avoid fluoride becuase it crosses the blood/brain barrier, its a neurotoxin, debatebly just as harmful as lead. We like toothpaste that uses nano hydroxyapetite to remineralize which is safe and effective, without the toxic concerns. We really like Risewell in our house.

Deodorant can contain aluminum, fragrance and other harsh ingredients. Opt for a natural option. My husband is allergic to baking soda and has great success with this Schmidt's deodorant. It is fragrance free and made for sensitive skin and can be used by men or women.

Earth Mama also makes a really great clean deodorant that I use in my rotation. Use code LESSTOXICLIZZY for 25% off your entire order on the Earth Mama website.

Earth Mama has a great lineup of sunscreen too. "Uber-sensitive" for the baby & "lady face" for a tinted sunscreen for me. Checkout their entire collection if you're looking for a clean sunscreen product. Use code LESSTOXICLIZZY for 25% off your entire order on the Earth Mama website.

The first thing I do when I get out of the shower, is apply this alcohol-free witch hazel to my dry face. It helps to close my pores and nourish my skin. I really like this unscented version from Thayers

I don't use a lotion on my face anymore, just oil. Jojoba oil absorbs in really well to not leave a greasy feel. Cliganic offers an organic option that I have been using for years. The dropper makes it easy to get just the right amount.

We use 2 types of soap in our house. I really like to use a bar of goat milk soap in the shower. My husband likes to use a liquid soap for his shower. To each their own, I have listed both options and you can use what your prefer!

I use this same liquid castile soap for our hand soap dispensers next to the sinks. This castile soap is super diluted so I actually only fill the foaming dispenser 1/3 full with soap, and the rest is water. Making your own hand soap is so easy and a really clean option, compared to all of the drug store hand soap options. All you need is a foaming dispenser

If you're looking for an easy shampoo & conditioner swap, 100% Pure is readily available on Amazon. This is a really great brand and clean product. I have found they are often out of stock so I have another couple options listed as well.

Alaffia makes an unscented shampoo/conditioner that can also be found on amazon and is free of all the harsh ingredients too. They also have a kid/baby version.

I switched to a custom shampoo/conditioner from Prose a few years back and have been really happy. It's much more affordable than I would have thought. It involes a short quiz about your hair type and your hair and scalp needs/goals. I also use their dry shampoo, it is not an aerosol and it doesn't have a fragrance either. I cannot do fragrances, so I actually get my custom shampoo and conditioner fragrance free too. I was really happy to have found this company.

I have a love hate relationship with lotion. I want my body to be able to regulate its own oil prouction, where lotion isn't necessary. However there are certain times where I really could benefit from some lotion. This everyone is a great option.

Both my husband and I use this Lily hairspray. It is a medium hold/flex and works great for holding shape to my wavy/curly hair, and also holds my husbands flop over to the side.

I LOVE Bee Bella chapstick. It is organic, local to me and made by the beekeepers with beeswax and vitamin E. It is healing and protecting at the same time. I like the unscented version but they have a lot of flavors to choose from.

It has been a long time since I wore mascara but I know this is important to a lot of people so I researched for a clean brand for you, and I want to let you know, this is what I would use, if I used mascara. Mineral Fusion. If you try it, please let me know how it works for you.

I use liquid castile soap for our hand soap dispensers next to the sinks. This castile soap is super diluted so I actually only fill the foaming dispenser 1/3 full with soap, and the rest is water. Making your own hand soap is so easy and a really clean option, compared to all of the drug store hand soap options. All you need is a foaming dispenser. Here's one with a cute label. And one thats a mason jar

If you're looking to upgrade your towels, try 100% organic cotton for a luxurious spa feel.

So you filter your drinking water, but what about the water you bathe in? Here is a filter for your shower head. Its so easy, you just unscrew your shower head, add this filter, then screw your showerhead back on. You should see some improvements to your skin!

And speaking of showers, are you brushing in those hard to reach places, removing dead skins cells and promoting rejuvenation? There's a brush for that.
